Arkadelphia Water and Wastewater Utilities is a municipally owned, customer oriented organization providing water and wastewater service for it's customers in an economical, reliable way and consistently meeting or exceeding industry standards and practices.
Wastewater Treatment
Arkadelphia's wastewater treatment facility consists of 164 acres of oxidation ponds, with the final eleven acres in aquaculture (Lemna Process). Discharge is to the Ouachita River with NPDES Limits 30 BOD, 90 TSS. Average flow through the system is 1.9 MGD with current capability of treating 3.0 MGD. Expansion capability for immediate upgrade to 6.0 MGD.
