Arkadelphia Water and Wastewater Utilities is a municipally owned, customer oriented organization providing water and wastewater service for it's customers in an economical, reliable way and consistently meeting or exceeding industry standards and practices.

Wastewater Treatment

Wastewater Treatment PondsArkadelphia's wastewater treatment facility consists of 164 acres of oxidation ponds, with the final eleven acres in aquaculture (Lemna Process). Discharge is to the Ouachita River with NPDES Limits 30 BOD, 90 TSS. Average flow through the system is 1.9 MGD with current capability of treating 3.0 MGD. Expansion capability for immediate upgrade to 6.0 MGD.

Sewer Rates

Established by Ordinance O-92-2 of 1992.

First 2,000 $7.44 (minimum monthly charge)
Next 8,000 $2.23 per 1,000 gallons or part thereof
Next 40,000 $1.86 per 1,000 gallons or part thereof
Next 100,000 $1.49 per 1,000 gallons or part thereof 
Next 350,000 $.93 per 1,000 gallons or part thereof
Over 500,000 $.83 per 1,000 gallons or part thereof

Bills for service will be rendered monthy and included with the the water bill.
