Sanitation Department
The Sanitation Department handles the collection and disposal of all the solid waste within the city limits of Arkadelphia.
Residential Customers
The City of Arkadelphia provides residential garbage pickup twice a week for it's customers, either Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Friday depending on which area of town you live. To find out see the Trash Pickup Days map in Related Documents below. Residents may place their bagged trash on the curb for the Sanitation crew to pickup. Please be mindful not to place your trash out too early, to insure it is not torn open by animals.
Also as a service to our citizens, the City provides one roll of quality trash bags to residential homes every four months at no charge. Additional bags may be purchased at the Arkadelphia Water Utilities office.
Bagged yard waste may also be picked up with your regular trash. Note: if there is an excessive amount, a truck may have to be sent back at a later time for pickup. Bags should not exceed four feet in length or 50 pounds in weight.
Commercial Customers
The Sanitation Department services commercial customers with front load dumpsters placed at or near the business. Commercial customers are charged according to the size of their container and the number of times per week it has to be serviced.
