Fire Department

Welcome to the Arkadelphia Fire Department.

Ladder TruckThe Arkadelphia Fire Department has two fire stations.  One located at 6th and Caddo Streets, and the other located at 26th and Pine Streets. 

The Fire Department currently has 8 full-time firefighters that work on a regular 24 on 48 off schedule and 15 paid volunteers. We have a full-time Fire Chief and a Assistant Chief that is a paid volunteer.  Out of this manpower we have divided our men into three companies which respond to rescue incidents all over Clark County. Our rescues include drowning incidents, auto extrication, and river rescues.

The Fire Department conducts the following Annual Activities:Smoke Detector Installation

  • Firefighter PT Tests
  • Regional Fire School
  • Appreciation Dinner
  • Safety Classes for Public Schools
  • External and Internal Training
  • Fire Inspections
  • Fire Plug Testing
  • Provide Smoke Detectors to the Citizens of Arkadelphia

There are also regular meetings for full-time and volunteer firemen held on the first and third Monday night of each month.  Meetings start at 6:30 and last until 8:30.

ISO Rating - The City of Arkadelphia currently has an ISO rating of 5.  This rating is given by ISO determined by manpower, equipment, communication, and water supply.
