Building Department

The Building Department administers and enforces regulatory codes and ordinances to protect local citizens. Codes enforced include building, fire, electrical, gas, plumbing, mechanical, and housing. Ordinances govern such issues as dilapidated structures, signage, trash and debris, junk cars, high grass, and tall weeds.

Arkadelphia Comprehensive Development Plan

The Comprehensive Development Plan serves as an official policy statement of the City, outlining its goals and strategies for directing orderly growth and development within its Planning Area. It is not meant to direct land use arrangement precisely nor is it a zoning ordinance. Rather, the plan should serve as an instrument to blend public and private interests in a manner that will best suit the entire community.
