Some of Arkadelphia's Good Deed Doers
We will be recognizing Arkadelphia's Good Deed Doers.

"I don't know if you are aware but Mike Shaw was out way before sunrise Monday using his grader (he said) and later his backhoe with bucket to clear streets and parking lots in and around town.
I first saw him heading west on Pine near Auto Zone and at that point just letting the bucket push a minimal amount of snow.
I went into Andy's for coffee and Bill Goff was the only customer there. Shaw pushed the snow all around the restaurant where the piles are obvious today.
His picture appeared on the front page of the Sifting's, Monday. Wednesday morning in Andy's early, I told him about his picture and he said he did not charge a dime for the work he did. Said he had cleared the parking lot at Twin Rivers Nursing Home and I do not know how many other locations.
I believe in giving credit where credit is due and I am not aware the city knows of his generosity. I thought you and the Mayor would want to know this."

David Bost State Farm Insurance is giving away "Green" grocery bags to their policyholders and others. These nice bags hold lots of groceries and keep things "Green" by saving the use of the plastic bags the stores use. I picked one up this morning and used it on my trip to the grocery store. They also have straps for carrying and are much stronger than the plastic bags you get at the store.
